The African Safari Club hotels were next to each other on Mombasa beach in 2004. The Flamingo has the most beautiful and largest pool. As beautiful as the sea looks, it is only suitable for swimming to a limited extent. The area from the beach to the offshore reef is very shallow and at low tide there is no water! In addition, African traders are constantly on the beach, which are very intrusive and annoying.
The Swiss African Safari Club AG went bankrupt in March 2009. The hotel changed hands, was completely renovated and reopened in 2012 and is now called PrideInn Flamingo Beach Resort & Spa.
