In addition to its famous Gothic cathedrals, such as the Strasbourg Cathedral, Alsace has many Romanesque churches that have survived the eventful history of the country to some extent. The aim of our trip to Alsace was to follow these traces of the "Romanesque in Alsace". The itinerary, which we have put together ourselves, essentially follows the Romanesque Road. Later excursions to Alsace and the pilgrimage along the Way of St. James (2015, 2016, 2017) through Alsace have completed and extended the pages.
