We are leaving St-Julien. Here a look back.
After the first ascent it goes almost level.
This farmstead has seen better times.
A first look at Bourg-Argental
We hike along beautiful hiking trails ...
... and are approaching Bourg-Argental.
A proud cock as a monument
church of Saint-André
The Romanesque west portal
The Tympanum
Here a black Madonna is venerated.
The church, seen from the side.
We have also discovered our dear Curé of Ars.
After a somewhat longer ascent we come to an abandoned railway track.
Tunnel
View from the relatively steeply rising railway line to the right.
We go over a viaduct.
Another look to the right
We stop at the former Saint-Sauveur-en-Rue station.
It is raining again. In the stage village Les Setoux we visit the church with this beautiful James fountain.
We spend the night in the Gîte Le Combalou. This is an evening photo after the rain.
