Way of St. James in Austia
In this building of the Hotel Waldhof we stayed overnight.
The path leads in Scheffau directly from the valley station of the cable car uphill.
The area here is called Schattenseite (Shady side). The places are called Bärbichl and ...
... Fallbichl.
The marked Tyrolean Way of St. James leads on small forest and field paths, in many turns up and down to Söll.
Tip: Stay on the road and save many kilometers of detours.
Söll appears in the fog.

After Söll the path climbs gently up to the Pirchmooser chapel - a Lourdes chapel.

From the chapel you have a fantastic view of Söll.
After crossing the busy Lofener Bundesstrasse we hike uphill again towards Itter.
Down there in the valley, that must be the Wörgler Boden, to what we are aiming for.
A pilgrim hostel in Itter Dörfl. Looks very inviting, but we want to continue on to Wörgl.
