Here the Danube valley shows its most beautiful side. The loop is already in the reservoir of the Aschach power plant. In the past, the Danube loop was considered one of the most dangerous places on the Danube for shipping.
The Danube cycle path ends on the northern bank. A small ferry carries riders and bikes from the left to the right bank.
On the southern bank in Haibach (district Schlögen) there are two hotels where you can stay overnight. I took this picture from the window of our hotel
